i think each person should do up their own confirm.  most people who
   see it will know you to some degree.  for instance, most people know i'm
   odd, so my template reflects that.  it's obvious that it's not from *me*
   exactly, but it's also obvious that i'm responsible for it.  i really
   think personalising the template message goes a long way towards getting
   the confirms to work.  anyway, for what it's worth this is mine and i
   have yet to see an issue with it.

Hey, I like it, though it's a bit on the long side, perhaps :)

However, what both your template and mine makes explicit, is that
ignoring this message will probably result in your e-mail not being
delivered.

I think it's important to make this explicit, otherwise people may be
inclined to ignore it.
