I agree with this last point and have added the following blurb to the
end of the default confirm_request.txt:

  If you do not respond to this confirmation request, your message
  will not be delivered.

I hesitate to pontificate further, as I like to keep the default
templates as brief and as simple possible. It's my experience that
senders tend to tune out automated messages if they are too long
and/or wordy. Anyone who has read djb's qsecretary treatise will
understand what I'm talking about.

The default templates have undergone many revisions, and their wording
has been one of the most hotly contested areas of TMDA. This is why I
tried to make them so easy to modify, as no one seems to agree on what
they should or shouldn't say. That said, I've had good luck with the
current templates. Some of the most non-technical users imaginable
have been able to understand and complete the challenge/response
process.
