I was thinking this but somewhat incorrectly :( Had I realised the reason to go to a Maildir format was so people could _read_ the pending dir in an MUA I'd have suggested different named dirs. I wasnt thinking straight and assumed it was being suggested for other reasons - not sure what though... I like the idea of using dot dirs for pending/actioned stuff. It makes things a lot clearer in my view. Personally I never read the pending directory, but it would be nice to have some sort of structure there that I could loop over to get the current state from (for cgi etc).
