Hello Friends, We discuss a lot when a case/activity is half-way through and after that there would be no response. Why so?
There are many members who are not very happy with our way/style of working, some of us have different expectations and aspirations. Luckily, what we have in common is *trust on us as a group*. Why not we come up with our thoughts, how we wish our group to be....... !! What we can contribute personally in realizing particular goals!! We have only a week of lull period left. Let us commit, give your thoughts a best shot, drill and drill, ponder and ponder.......... shoot mails. Apart from the personal aspirations, let us have a clear look at our present scenario. What are our strengths....... what are our limitations........how we can improve...... *As a member:* I am always clear about the goal. To unite like-minded groups and work in co-ordination with others so that we can address any issue (not political or communal or something sensitive and controversial, I mean in general) to the core. Our priorities being Education and Health. Individual cases we have been helping and we will continue to help. In addition to that, the sources for Education are Schools and Health are Hospitals (not exactly so). Our tasks should be addressing these concerns. When it comes to schools, we will visit government schools and prepare Project Reports. Not just a visit but we should do an all-purpose survey sort of thing. Project Library is the immediate activity. When it comes to health, we should now concentrate on Campaign part and also think/discuss more on adopting a hospital, that to my personal choice is NIMS. In Campaigning, if we can choose slums, we can know where to distribute old dresses. Apart from that we will give our serious attention to OPMS project. My main work would be OPMS from April till June. I still feel we should not stick to one particular cause. The reason is simple. There are many organizations which are working on particular causes. We want to attract youth, who wants to do something in their spare time and we should provide the platform. If we stick only to Education, people interested to support it only will join. Similarly any other causes. But that is not our purpose. We have a bigger dream, a dream of motivating youth and elders alike to take social work as a serious concept and to enjoy such a work. To show how we can achieve. Our Promise: If you have will, we show you the way. We provide you the platform. Time, Money, Effort --- all within your affordability. I hope and request others to think of this idea. Can you also visualize such a day as I do? Then only we can write it as 'Our Vision'. Mission is to encourage everyone to take active part in social work and do our part in serving the society. Vision is to unite all the groups, without any hassles of administration, and let people serve without bothering for name or fame, but toiling to serve the purpose. I will ring to Sudha on tuesday to find about updates with respect to the 4 yr old child suffering from Lucemia. In this case, we will be donors (this is what I propose) and our interest here is knowing about different groups and initiating a dialogue with them. I think this is the first time that I decided to take up the case without mailing to the group. Ofcourse contribution part, I will rely on your suggestions.
