Hi Prasanthi,

This is a blunt e-mail ... it is very likely to offend you and other
active members ... I apologize in advance for its impact.

At the outset, I really appreciate the tremendous efforts put in by the
Hyd, Blr and Chennai members on the field.

In recent weeks, there has been one critical 'problem' identified with
the group i.e., the unavailability of enough volunteers. This has always
been a griping point with the group but it has not come out as strong as it
did in the recent weeks. If there aren't enough TMAD volunteers, how can you
promise "effort" in your vision/promise? We'd otherwise run into embarassing
situations where we take up cases, only to realize that our volunteer base
is not strong.

Given that such social causes require a volunteer base that never seems
enough, you may want to revisit this volunteering issue first and have a
clear cut idea about what, how, why and when volunteer base
should/could/would/will be expanded. If we don't get past this, then we'll
have the issue of volunteering keep coming up and we may lose some very good
members who just lose interest.

Once we are clear about this, we can then talk about partnering with
other groups 'coz even that other group you want to partner with has the
same volunteer base concern! :-) Also, the US members are PROBABLY right now
FORCED (?) to not contribute ideas because there are not enough on-field
members and the ones on-field are already doing a tremendous amount of work.

So, please give this a thought and share your
thoughts/comments/feelings :-) Again, I apologize if I was hurtful in any
part of this e-mail and I greatly appreciate the fabulous work done by one
and all.

Cheers!
Karthik
