Unfortunately, if you read the specifications on Logitech's products
page for the Touch, there are -no- limitations noted regarding external
USB devices.

If the Touch was never meant to be used with large external drives then
Logitech is being their own worst enemy in not warning buyers of these
limitations. That only guarantees a number of customers are going to be
dissatisfied.
