Just to add some clarification to avoid things that could be
interpreted incorrectly by people that doesn't understand that you with
"Touch" meant a Touch using an external server.

It's important to separate a Touch using its built-in server and a
Touch using a server on a separate computer.

On a Touch using the built-in server, basically no plugins can be used,
only applets. People that want support for things like ratings and smart
playlists should go and vote on these enhancement requests:

On a Touch using an external server on a computer many plugins can be
used, those that are problematic are the screen saver plugins, but for
many of those there is or will soon be an alternative through a applet
or applet+plugin combination.

On a Touch using the built-in server, no plugins will work especially
not those only implementing a web interface as there isn't a web
interface on the built-in server.

On a Touch using an external server on a computer, all the plugins with
only a web interface or which supports Controller or Radio will
typically work. There are still some older plugins which only support
Squeezebox Classic/Boom/Transporter which won't work. Actually they
will work, but you can only interact with them through the web
interface. However, as mentioned above, for most of them there is an
alternative through and applet or applet+plugin combination already
available or soon to be available.
