Thanks everyone. Part of my confusion was because I didn't realize that plugin and applet are not interchangeable terms.
As well as the fact that I was looking at an ipeng application explanation (which showed Trackstat and didn't mention that it could only be used on external servers.) Got stattrack working just fine on my computer, and will let slimdevices know I'd love to see a similar applet/inclusion on the next internal server.
