You don't have this quite right. In journalistic endeavors, editorial and business staffs are on the same side of the wall, it's news that's on the other side. In theory, to keep it objective and free from interference. Newspaper/magazine editorials are subjective and often reflect the views of management or the owners. Hobbyist-type magazines don't usually represent themselves as having news content in a journalistic sense or to be free of biases. I don't think there's necessarily an expectation or representation of objectiveness in such magazines' product reviews. They are inherently subjective. And, not infrequently, subject to meddling from the business side. I'm not saying this is necessarily the case with the specific pubs cited, but it is often the case. -- Goodsounds ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Goodsounds's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14201 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81346 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
