Based on the your two posts quoted above I would say that you and I have no real differences of opinion. The only reason that I even brought up iTunes was in reference to the general lack of understanding among audiophiles regarding the nature of high resolution digital audio. In addition Stereophile features about one review per issue of some fairly expensive SACD/DVD-Audio/CD player since many audiophiles still believe that SACD, DVD-Audio (either commercially produced or self made using high resolution digital audio files and DVD-Audio authoring software) or a computer feeding a USB DAC are the only ways to obtain high resolution digital audio playback in their systems. I am hoping that the upcoming Touch reviews in Stereophile and TAS will help to educate them about another, and IMHO, far superior method. -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/jazzfann/) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81346 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
