I have done all the switching of cables and channels and yes it is at the preamp level. My first thought was that one of my power amps was bad. Not the case. This was the point I reached before I tried the headphone output. What is confusing to me is that all my other sources sound fine. The sb3 works just fine. Input level to the pre-amp does not seem to be the issue. I can lover the output of the touch and the distortion is still there. What else can be present at the output of the touch that can be causing this compatibility with my pre? My hi-fi is an active Linn kit.
