I really wish I could help. The headphone circuit is completely seperate from the line out. It has a much lower impedance and higher current drive. Why you get distortion on only one channel has got me stumped - and that's quite rare! There's nothing on the Touch line out that would cause this - a faulty one sure could, but this is your second. That almost 100% rules out a fault on the Touch.
