All,

I'm new to squeezebox. I've been searching and trying to find
documentation on advanced set-up/trouble shooting but had no success. I
have a squeezebox Touch set-up, it connected fine to my wireless
network, found all my FLAC files on the NAS no problem. I'd prefer an
ethernet connection though as I have a port available (SB touch is next
to my TV, Bluray, media streamer etc, all of which have a more stable
connection when etherneted). Trouble is that it won't connect giving
the message "We were unable to find a DHCP address for this network". I
can set it up manually, but it doesn't last and my router is DHCP server
enabled (no MAC filtering). Tried a different cable, and resetting the
unit and trying 'ethernet' as the first network choice but no luck.
Latest firmware.

One last question:
Can I install the SB server software on my NAS? I tried, the istall
appeared to work, but then when I clicked start SB server, it failed.
At present it is running on my PC (but it is not always the PC/laptop
that is on), whilst the NAS is on by default when a PC on the network
is fired up. 2TB Buffalo Linkstation Pro.
