In my 1+ year experience with Touch it is a worthy successor to the SB3. Admittedly, I've only run TinySBS with a small music library on a USB stick, and for that it did just fine. But for day-to-day use it's an excellent player connected to SBS, which is hardly "iffy or exotic".
