I have had the Touch since product launch. I compared the Touch as a transport to my Bel Canto CD-2 (not too cheap at around $3,000) and I can't tell a difference either into my Bel Canto DAC3.
I say this is all because of the high end linux sound system built into the Touch. I've experimented before with Linux audio and have even had a "letters to the editor" message published in TAS about how great linux based audio is. Out of the box the Touch does it all in a nice convenient package. Sure you can even make it better if you fiddle around a bit, but at this point listening to my $3K cd player and my Touch I have to say I prefer the Touch because it's convenient, I can control everything with my phone, my Squeezebox server is all hooked up with 2+TB of FLAC ripped from CD, I am very happy. I can't imagine anything better, but I am sure Logitech is working on it :) -- bullethead ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bullethead's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4803 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82527 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
