I've just started using a touch after upgrading from a squeezebox 2 (and an original squeezebox 1 before that). Mainly as I no longer want a PC running 24/7 so I am using the internal server and a USB hard drive. As my database is so old most of my 1tb of flac music isn't tagged very well so I tend to use the music folder option. I've noticed that you can access and play music using this option while the database is still building so you can be up and running, listening to music as soon as the server has started and the drive has been recognised.
