That was my experience as well (with my Silkflex Glass and a Cambridge Audio Azur 840C DAC). But I now use an Audioquest digital to allow for >24/96 and with my new Benchmark DAC2 I hear no loss in clarity. Quite the contrary. Regards, Guido F.
