the Touch with EDO handles 24/192 even with S/PDIF (not just with USB
out). Of course the DAC receiving the digital signal from the Touch must
also handle 24/192. (Optical may also handle 24/192 with EDO, but again
requires that the DAC receiving the optical input handles 24/192....and
I recall that even some DACs that handle 24/192 don't handle it via
Optical (toslink).

When you are using the ANALOG out from the TOUCH, its hard to say what's
happening at your receiver. Many modern receivers take an analog signal
input and still run it through the receiver's own DAC. Others have an
internal DAC bypass, or something similar. This is typically not a good
idea (i.e., the path is Digital signal > DAC > Analog > Digital Signal >
Analog).  Of course whether this double conversion produces any audible
degradation is questionable (and probably doesn't in most cases).
