I guess I finally asked the question right, because this is the clearest answer I've seen yet. Thank you. So now that I know that any file I have that is 24/96 or higher will be playing out of my system at 24/96, whether it goes through my external DAC or just analog out of my SBT, I can A/B compare the two. I've been itching and clawing toward 24/192, but the reality is, I probably wouldn't hear much of a difference anyway, and besides, the quality of the file goes well beyond just the bit depth/sample rate specs. So many variables......interesting though. Thanks people. I think I'll be hanging out here a bit more, learning. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tdgruen's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101376 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
