I can't agree more on both this point, especially the first one.

>From my perspective, one of the most impressive key feature of Trac is
its ease of use and clean-and-lean UI. Compare to many other bug
tracking tool, Trac has a simple, yet powerful interface. Many users
simply do not use / want to use a bug tracking tool because there are
too many fields offer to them to fill in / to find the right ones.

The plugin architecture allows to easily enable/disable feature, so
maybe we could bundle key features (such as the "MasterPlugin") into
Trac standard delivery, but provide an installation option to select
which features are enabled and which are disabled / hidden. An admin
could choose among several installation kinds, without having to
install tons of plugins and to deal with dependencies and API breaks.

Anyway I do hope Christian won't fork away from the mainstream Trac

Cheers,
Manu
