First problem is that the configuration console opens intermitantly. Most of the time, I am prompted to reset. Not sure exactly what that means but I depower it and repower it. Sometimes it opens the console, sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas??
Secondly, I only made the following changes to the console. a) I entered my callsign b) I checked use smart beaconing and left the default values that were in it. c) I wrote in 12v for "Don't Xmit if voltage <" Are there any other changes or entries that I need to make in order to use this with a GPS for tracking only? Thirdly, the text in the description of the T2-301 says that you can set the freq and xmit power through the T2. I cannot find a place in the console to do this. I downloaded the programming program for the 301D. The first message was "unable to open port", then it opened a console but there were no values in it. Nada. I am not sure I did the right thing here as the instructions for the programing cable for the 301D (which I do not have) says that it is not to be used with the radio with the T2 daughterboard. I thought the T2-301 was preconfigured to transmit on 144.39. Obviously I am very confused about this whole process. I would appreciate any help. 73, Joe
