Well, I seem to have finally gotten the radio to communicate with the nuvi.
However, I am not transmitting a packet (or anything, for that matter). I can
hit a digi from my computer desk with my D7 HT so I'm quite sure the Alinco
connected to a J-pole in the attic can hit it too. Also, when I run the config
program with the tuning diagnostics I cannot hear any tones when clicking the
config program's PTT button.

The keypad on the microphone for the Alinco no longer works, either.

I can no longer open the local 2 meter voice repeaters with this radio either.

Did I brick my radio as far as transmitting? It seems to be putting out
NOTHING!

When I connect the Argent serial cable from the radio to the side port of the
Nuvi (power is through the cradle) and turn both on I do not see any "Dispatch"
button or other indication the two are talking.

When I first installed my T2-135 board in my DR-135 I had a devil of a
time getting it to do *anything* (couldn't connect with otwincfg,
etc). I tried everything I could think of related to troubleshooting
physical cabling, PC serial ports, etc, and finally the solution was
to do a factory reset on the DR-135. After that it has been working
flawlessly. Not sure if this reset issue is common or just something
specific to my radio. If Scott has already programmed the T2-135 for
you, perhaps all you need to do is a factory reset on your Alinco?

The procedure to do a reset is to hold down the FUNC button while
powering the radio on. Note that this will ERASE any settings and
memories from the DR-135. That's how I got mine working anyway, hope
  that helps.
