You wouldn't believe how many times I've done that.  I do most of my 
bench testing with a current limited power supply, so that when I plug 
in something with a short it doesn't necessarily blow up right away. 
I'm constantly forgetting to crank the current back up when testing 
radios.  I really need a power supply that beeps or something when it 
goes into constant current mode.
