What is the proposed "Return Loss" requirement? How would one "Impedance
Match" the string to can termination? Somehow the termination would need to
be matched to the density of the string....

What a novel idea...who came up with this technology anyway? We could call it
VSL - Voiceband String Line. Maybe someone will develope a TFSL - Taught
Fishing String Line technology for more bandwidth...

Subject: Re: Cans & String Standard

An intenational committee is being formed as we speak to formalize the
definitive
standard for two cans and a piece of string. Meetings will be held at select
places
around the globe that charge less than $ 50.00 per night.

Consesus will be reached by means of endurance marches, preferably barefoot in
the sand along a beach.
