Joseph,

There are many labs in the greater Boston area that will claim to do
EU telecom testing, when in fact what they actually do is send your
equipment out to another lab (and usually far away!). This could be
OK if your EUT is simple, but if this is your first time or are
expecting problems, it could become a real headache logistics-wise to
     handle unexpected problems.

Additionally, (you may alread know this) "EU-telecom" encompasses a
lot of different technologies and standards. Few labs can do it all.
For example, some labs can do Analog or ISDN Layer 1 testing, but not
Layers 2 and 3. You need to ask first.

Once your testing is done and you have a test report, you'll have to
submit it and a stack of other documents to a Notified Body in Europe
for a Type Approval Certificate. The Lab should be credible so as not
to raise any concerns with the Notified Body.

Back to your question...the only Lab I know of that is local is the
BSI operation running out of Curtis-Straus Labs in Littleton MA (I
have not used BSI yet). BSI is VERY legit, in fact is listed on BABT
Form 500 along with KTL and Assessment Services Ltd.
