The "New One" joke was infantile, tasteless, offensive, and above all,
misplaced. Even the sender knows that.

But there is a significant difference between well-conceived humor such as
Andy Griffin's recent spoof of "foreward" -- which was delivered with a
twinkle in his eye --
and the "New One" joke (if you can call it that) -- which was delivered with
an adolescent and lascivious grin.

Now I ask you, ye who consider this an improper forum for humor, to consider
an analogy:
Wearing a tie to work is something many consider proper and professional.
But how many people do you know who ALWAYS wear a tie to work, yet never,
NEVER unbutton their shirt at the collar underneath that tie?
The only person I knew was my Grandfather -- who died an untimely death --
and he wore clip-ons. May they both rest in peace!
And so may this issue!

Rick
