We can be pretty sure about 1000 letters went out since that was reported in the Wall street journal. I don't discount Craig's call center experience and customer service knowledge Don shares either. However, that does not mean the "ends justifies the means" in this case because we can only about each of the 1000 individual issues. But, even if these customers are loonies, acting ethically toward them is the small (0.002 of a percent) price Sprint should pay to be a _service_ provider. Is the action _ethical_ considering the inconvenience of having to find and pay for a new contract and possibly a new phone under threat of loosing your phone number in 3 weeks? I still think Sprint should have waited for each contract to expire and then refuse renewal.
