This is knee jerk dogma without basis in factual experience. Our inept local transit system, with all of its flaws, runs much more reliably than the airlines that serve our airport. Should the government take over/nationalize/more comprehensively regulate the airlines? Depends how you look at it. The way I look at these kinds of things is, if I am subsidizing it (with my taxes), then I want commensurate control over it (vial my elected representatives). An industry doesn't want government control, then it shouldn't ask for government money. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iQCVAwUBSHeJH0LG/oYII0YuAQI9TAP8C1So3/Vlo9zHRimQzO6Cz9jVtQLfg94d ALooXO+/qj9Kn0M/49HFhKLz2/vqkO2/rdq5WDnglUMH3fwGHZRiUI4sVEI/PK64 nFsFC0Px2ekm7fZxpQvlfwWNOviSoCDKMKGPH/fU6S1wDt9hUn7bZW/iULwrpkAG JCqcjlCj51c= =XV9L -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
