Even with devices that adhere to documented standards, there's a wide range
of behaviors. 

 

So, it depends on which phone and which headset(s).

I wonder why mine does not. I go out of range and it breaks lock, 
and I generally have to use Bluetooth/Preferences/select the one I want 
active to reconnect.
