Theres an article on engadget where Palm is addressing the patch and
basically telling people it will void warranty.

I have a Pre for work, but its not a primary phone so as much as I want to
try the patch, I wont.

I have a BB, WM, iPhone and then the Pre.

So, I am seeing many people say how much faster the Pre is which update. So
why isn't Palm embracing this? I am concerned putting this in place if it is
not supported as if anything happens to my phone I don't want the insurance
invalidated because I did this unsupported update.

I think the instructions for the Pre specifically said No to the Pixi.
In fact, I'm pretty sure it went so far as to say you'd brick the thing
if you try.
