There apparently is another 800MHz kernel that goes with Govnah. This
is the one I've been running since March. It's OK. Not a sparkling as
I'd like, but it's what was available at the time.
The reason I bring this up is the discussion about an, apparently,
new 800MHz kernel that can be installed through PreWare. I tried
installing it, and it told me I have to get rid of the one I have. Just
haven't gotten round to that yet.
Two other "incompatibilities" I've discovered. The temp indicator
on Govnah app does not work with the palmblast kernel. And running
Switcheroo Free makes my Pre run hot to the touch and if I have any apps
loaded (sometimes I leave Messaging Contacts open in thoughts of using
them again soon) the Pre locks up.
When it does that, the device is hot to the touch (Well, OK, a lot
warmer than it normally is) and I have to pull the battery to restart it.
Without Switcheroo running, it stays cool, runs virtually forever,
and except for less than satisfactory - to me - alacrity loading and
switching apps, runs OK.

If brute force isn't working, you're not using enough of it.
