I'm hitting the road early in the morning and will be on it for a week. I'm a little leery of doctoring the thing, but ... what if I just remove the kernel. That should put it back to stock. On the other hand, what exactly is involved with doctoring, and how do I gert the rest of the device back - calendars, photos, etc. etc.
