Personally I feel one should not just take or embrace the rule without the
punishment thereoff. The punishment of not observing the sabbath, one would
be stoned to death. This was one of the laws of which Jesus Christ came to
give liberty to those under bondage. I think: You should love your neighbor
as you love yourself encompasses everything. Remember the good Samaritan
story. And your neighbor is not only your muvakidzani but anyone in need be
it your father, brother or even a stranger.

You can not deny yourself doing good things in the name of the sabbath, you
cant say I will not heal somebody whilst you got the ability, but only becoz
its a sabbath day, becoz the sickness itself does not observe sabbath.
Personally I feel we are not Jews but Christians after Christ Jesus.

That is why for us who received Jesus not by right (Israelites) but by grace
some other things like circumcision of the flesh was outlawed by
circumcision of the heart becoz of the blood of Jesus Christ.

Those who were given the law failed to observe it and thats the reason why
Jesus had to come from hevan initially for the Isralites but later to us
(Gentiles- non Isralites) by grace kuzosunungura vakanga vakasungwa
nemutemo. This reminds me of mukadzi akawana Jesu akagara patsime. The woman
needs water from the well ( which can be equated to the old system or way of
doing things) while Jesus wants to give her real water (which can be equated
to the new system)

Having said that, what I am trying to say is, to me every day is a sabbath,
becoz to me sabbath means doing what is pleasing to Jehovah in the Might
name of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

It would be interesting to note what others have to say on this subject.

Its a great honor to be part of this group.
