No, in your case, it's the mobile equivalent of choosing Fedora or Debian  
over Ubuntu. Or, depending on what your Android build is like, it might even  
be more like choosing Fedora or Debian instead of Windows.

If you can't use Replicant, Cyanogenmod is still better than whatever your  
phone came with.
