You're missing the crucial point: automatic JavaScript installation is
automatic, and it's also very frequent and basically invisible. This is
completely different from most software installation, which is not very
frequent and requires direct action from the user. User scripts and
extensions are what's comparable to installing software from the Trisquel
repository, not the usual automatic JavaScript installation.
