The "thinking mind" is pretty low down on the scale of things so sure, if you try to switch from expanded pervasion into trying to "think" about it then you'll lose the pervasion at once. Rather just let the pervasion of space continue and allow the knowingness present come to you too. It will if you let it, and you'll recog just how low down "thinking" is.
