I think you meant to say that the Jesus people were delivered from this
activity and philosophy, not that they advocated it.

I very much like and believe in submitting to organizational structures.  I
have formed both for-profit corporations and not-for-profit corporations,
charities, etc., because I believe doing so helps groups work together and
be productive.  I also teach others to submit and obey local, state, and
federal government.  However, the church of Jesus Christ, as I read the
Scriptures, is not to be structured this way.  I agree with the things that
Alexander Campbell wrote about this subject.  It seems to me that Joseph
Smith borrowed Campbell's ideas that the church should simply be known as
"Church of Christ" or "Church of Jesus Christ," but he never really
understood the real meat of what Campbell taught about this.
