That’s what I assume, but I just wondered if we were all on the same page about it. What do you all think about the possibility that there are “levels” (for lack of a better word) in heaven, and in hell? I think it makes a lot of sense. In the Visions of Sandhu Sundar Singh (“The Prophet of the Bleeding Feet” of India—a Christian evangelist who had lots of visions of heaven) he describes these levels, and says that when people die they are drawn to whatever level suits them. For example the really evil would plunge themselves into the farthest pit of hell because they can’t stand the light of God at all, versus those who just go to the higher levels where it is not as dark and tormenting of an inferno. He said that he saw people who knew the Lord well going right to higher planes of heaven, while most were drawn to lower levels of heaven, where they could be taught correctly by the angels. Later they would move closer to the higher realms. He said God does not have to send anyone to hell—everyone who hates him just sends himself there because he hates the light of holiness. I’ve always liked that idea. Izzy
