The HCP is just one of the LDS outdoor Pagaents, given mostly in Utah. They have different stories. The HCP is at the Hill where supposedly MIllions of warriors fought & died. It is also where Joe supposedly found the plates. There is a Visitor center open year round, and historical Tour sites. This is a way to get names for potential converts. The LDS even have a Hawaiin village that does the same. There is City of Joe in Nauvoo IL, One in San Diego, a few in Utah. Also temple Open houses get potential converts, and Christmas Lites as in Wash Dc temple. The HCP is SPECTACULAR! Hollywood & Disney helped with special effects. A costumed cast of 500, Huge sound system, lighting, on a multy level stage, outdoors. Exploding Volcanoes & a Lightning strike that hits a large boat and brings down the mast & sail!  Recorded singing from the Mormon tabernacle Choir, it is sure to MOVE you emotionally. Then they tell folks that is the spirit. Go to the kiosk for more info. The Missionaries canvass the crowd before the show also, looking for converts. Have you ever been to a show and been moved? Maybe that is part of what SEDUCING spirits is.
