this passage/verse confirms JCs supremecy (above all others) as a communicator, a fact which DavidM denied
 
also, it confirms that revelation does not occur today:
 
it says plainly that JC chose not to tell his chosen followers, the Apostles themselves, certain things; and, it means that if he chose not to tell them then, at that time, he would either tell them later, Spiritually, or not at all; essentially, this passage teaches clearly that JC was not talking directly to anyone else but the Apostles, that he would direct the HS to 'talk' to them
 
The error in DavidMs ideology stems from his arrogance, insisting that he himself is an Apostle
 
this means he subtly embraces a distinct feature of Mormon doctrine, not the NT--his teaching runs counter to the NT
 
This is why Mormons and people who adopt their doctrines implicitly are not Christians and one reason why Mormonism is a cult, and why DavidM is essentially a cult leader, not an NT Christian
