As I pointed out before, Gary, most of the New Testament was not written
by these eleven apostles. That alone tells us that what Jesus spoke to
them was also meant for others. For example, the apostle Paul was not
there, but he also received the Holy Spirit and was guided in the way
that Jesus described here. Paul was the principle writer of the New
Testament, yet not one of the twelve. Think about what that means.
Furthermore, the very prophecy of Joel indicates that the Spirit was not
just for some elite class, as it was under the Old Covenant, but rather
the Spirit was for all flesh, sons and daughters, old men and young men,
servants and maids (Joel 2:28-29, Acts 2:17-18).

Of course Peter also reiterates the reality of this himself when he
tells us that the promise of the Holy Ghost is not just for the 120 who
received it on the day of Pentecost 30 A.D., but for everyone who
believes.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE
THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST. FOR THE PROMISE IS UNTO YOU, AND TO YOUR
CHILDREN, AND TO ALL THAT ARE AFAR OFF, even as many as the Lord our God
shall call." (Acts 2:38-39 KJV)

ROTFLOL! That must be some kind of arrogance I have to insist on
something that I have never even intimated. I am certainly no Apostle.

This is one feature of Mormon doctrine that is right, just like they got
it right in teaching that Jesus Christ is the Savior of mankind and they
got it right in saying that the Bible is the holy Word of God.

LOL. It is very strange for you to say that I am not a NT Christian.
It is even stranger for you to say that I am a cult leader. Are you a
NT Christian? If so, then why would you object to what the NT teaches
in John 16:12-15, Acts 2:17-18, and Acts 2:38-39 without even offering
one New Testament verse?

Peace be with you.
