Yes, and although I did not search for them, there probably are some where
heaven and hell are mentioned in adjacent verses,  as well as in the same
sermon. Why do you ask?

DAVEH:  Thanx for your quick research job, Perry.

    Your comment to Blaine triggered something in my mind.  I hear heaven and hell used commonly and frequently by everybody from the media, to Hollywood, to literature and by preachers.  But I don't recall the Bible using that phrase.  So.....I am curious as to if it is really Biblical to tie the two together in a black/white situation as you had mentioned.

    Your below quotes about being exalted to heaven and thrust down to hell also intrigue me.  Wish I had more time to ponder them.  Do you remember anywhere in the Bible where it suggests one could be thrust upwards......to heaven?

Psalms 139:8 - If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed
in hell, behold, thou art there.

Amos 9:2 - Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them;
though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:

Matthew 11:23 - And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be
brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee,
had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

Mark 9:47 - And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for
thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to
be cast into hell fire:   [Kingdom of God = Heaven?]

Luke 10:15 - And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be
thrust down to hell.
