DavidH,

Thanks for the response, although you really didn't answer any of the questions, but that is your choice, which I respect.

The reason I asked the questions is not necessarily because I needed to know an answer, but I think in all honesty that all TT'rs should know the Mormon definitions of words in order to understand that when you agree with them, you are agreeing to something different than THEY THINK they are agreeing to.

The problem here was that you stated, "I don't believe one has to be LDS (a Mormon) to enter heaven". That statement, is misleading to Christians, because what many of them do not understand is that Mormons believe in THREE heavens, the terrestrial, the telestial, and the celestial. (If I err, feel free to point that out).

The lowest heaven (terestrial, I think) is for people who are not believers, those who have not accepted Christ, and even those who are evil or sinners (except for the sons of ?). So, those like Hitler, and possibly even Hitler himself could go to this 1st heaven.

The second heaven (telestial) is for believers that are not Mormons, and Mormons that are not "good" Mormons. (Maybe non-Mormon believers end up in the 1st heaven...I forget).

The third heaven is for Mormons that have performed the Temple endowments, tithe, have met all of the "callings", learned the handshakes, passwords, signs of the penalties, remember their secret name, wear their Captian Moroni secret encoder rings, etc.

So, you see, when you agree that non-mormons can go to heaven, there is a catch. You should point that out when you say you believe non-mormons go to heaven, they do not go to the same heaven as good mormons go...it is being deceitful NOT to point it out. You are deliberately deceiving those who ask. In fact, the heaven you describe is nowhere described in the Bible. The bible does speak of three heavens, but they are not as LSD believe. They are the heavens in which birds fly, the heavens in which the planets, stars, and galaxies exist, and the heaven where God exists. And, only the third one of these is a place where we go in the afterlife. The other two are merely places created by God as part of the universe, and referred to in the bible as such.

So, I was only trying to be honest to the other TT'rs in pointing out yet another word that Mormons use, that APPEARS to agree with Christian concepts, but is totally foreign to the Bible.

Perry
