My Bible teaches that God looks at the heart. Even though a child is conceived in sin, that child is not condemned, because God is a merciful and just God. As the child grows in understanding, he or she becomes responsible to believe and behave in accordance with what they know. Every human being capable of reason inherently knows that there is a God, and every one is responsible from that point for their actions. In other words, everyone is born a sinner, and at some point, God holds them accountable for their sin. If that does not seem fair to you, consider this. If you take a ceramics class, you can create an earthen vessel. You can use that vessel as a centerpiece on your table, you can use it to store wine, you can fill it with peanuts, or use it as a waste can or a chamber pot. You made it. You own it. You can use it as you please and no one else has any business telling you how to do it. You are the creator! Same thing with God. He makes some vessels for honor, and some for dishonor, and why He does it is His business. You don't have to understand. His ways are higher than your ways. You are not saved by knowing all the answers. You are saved by faith. Now you know. Terry
