Subject: [TruthTalk] Spiritual Realities

From: "Terry Clifton" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Though I am not certain just what constitutes a soul, I am surprised to
find that it can be described as long term memory.  Seems that it should be
something more than that, but since I do not have a better definition, we
will use your terminology, so I am with you so far

Judy:
The soul is referred to as 'mind, will, and emotions' by some and
this would include long term memory which is important because we
need sanctified memories since it is the soul that must be saved.
Some claim that the spirit and soul are the same but they are not
because the Word of God can divide and separate between them.
(see Hebrews 4:12).

Back to the garden - Satan channeled through the serpent accusing God
and tempting Eve to rebel by promising her that she and Adam could
be as gods. (Note: the word for gods in Gen 3:5 is not the one used for
God the Father, in Strongs it is #430 and is the word used all through
scripture for the gods of the nations, idols, or devils).

As soon as A&E partook of this fruit (received the lie and acted on it)
it says their eyes were opened and they saw that they were naked; this
is not saying that they were blind before - then they were naked and it
wasn't a big deal. Now they were naked and they were ashamed of their
nakedness - instantly A&E had built in shame and fear of God. Why
would they be afraid of God? He was welcome in the garden, He was
a regular visitor who would come and walk with them in the cool of
the day to fellowship but now they wanted to run from Him and hide.

Why would they run from the Lord and hide? Because A&E suddenly had
thoughts that they did not learn that became part of their nature and they
became one with these thoughts as if it were them and they acted upon
them as if it were them.  What they didn't realize is that a kingdom had
flooded into them (invisible) that had access to their human spirit and
was manifesting itself by it's fallen nature and because they had the
thoughts and they had the feelings they bought the lie that it was them
and they acted on it.

God's response says it all.  When He came for his regular time of
fellowship and called for them Adam says "I heard your voice in the
garden and I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself"  God
dosen't say "What made you think, or how did you know"  God said
"WHO TOLD YOU that you are naked"  Who was around to tell them
anything, by this time Satan was gone from the serpent and there were
only two humans in the garden to say anything? But they were now
acting upon thoughts from within, they had opened themselves to
spiritual parasites and were on the pathway to becoming habitations
of devils, a home for the spirit that now works in the children of
disobedience (Ephesians 2).

During his earthly ministry Jesus explained that defilement did not
come from the outside (see Mark 7:21-23) "For from within, out of
the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an
evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.  All these evil things COME
FROM WITHIN and defile the man"

Any problem so far?

Judy
Nope, none at all.
