G, Jn 10:34 states "is it not written that ye are gods". The LDS use this as a prooftext for godhood. Yet "is it not written" most likely refers to Psalm 82, which states that although they who sit in judgement for God are called "gods", they are indeed still mere men. Thus, the term 'gods' refers to men who sit in judgement, among men. [This, of course, refers to those who were administering God's law, not civil law, per se.]
