Your's is an argument from emotion, DaveH; a subtle justification for liars lying based on the notion that you have an affintity/preference/nature akin to theirs--you are in them, they are in you, and none of you can afford to prove your philosophers wrong.   'Theirs' includes, e.g., Izzy.    Her revelatory experience powerfully parallels JSs--they share a non-biblical semi-sinister authoritarian mystique projected from an unknown mind--about like DavidM/Plato, Bill/Lance/Polanyi do it--very nicely.   In her case, though, reality is a virtuality, a dream world; and, her subjective preference for it is all that matters to her...e.g., curling up with a cat and coffee all ears for a visit from a voice-vision through the ethereal fog of sleep...and from that, she insists that the easy existential ether everywhere in her quasi-feline beliefs is 'biblical'...in fact, like JSs, it's another mental mystical mythical mystique with no correspondence any where to the Spirit's Bible.   Education, FTR, in another thread, as an intelligent _expression_ of humble competancies, is irrelevant in this type of environment--Izzy's monologs prove it; all that matters to people who 'believe' like she does and you do is the loyalty of semi-somnambulant converts, like cats, to the consensual, homogeneous, and pervasive cultural myth; to the food bowl of your American dream/s.   G ~ P 235   On Thu, 01 Apr 2004 21:54:12 -0800 Dave <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: there is no truth in Morman circles, hence your tacit approval/appreciation of liars and lies--eh?
