JT: We don't need to be honest about our shortcomings, they see them.

That is exactly why we need to be honest Judy.  To deny what is obvious
to others makes us hypocrites.  Terry
jt: I'm not talking about "walking in denial" Terry. We are under no obligation.
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

I understood Bill to be discussing confessing faults and sin publicly and I
don't see a precedent for that in scripture other than between believers
and if it's not done at the Church what benefit is there in blabbing to the
world when they see it anyway.

Another thing to consider is atmosphere which is probably one of the reasons
people do not deal with sin God's way.  Look at what is going on with DavidM
and these Street Preacher ppl.  Apparently they've never read the verse that says
"Love covers" because they sure don't cover the ones they are down on in love.
The world sees the Church as hypocritical no matter what we say because their
father points out whatever is there and none of us has arrived so far.  jt.
