To deny what is obvious to others makes us hypocrites.

I don't advocate denial or hypocrisy but we need to deal with reality

That is, unless we are holding to Calvinism.

For eg. what good did it to Jimmy Carter to tell the whole world

that he looked upon women lustfully when he was in the Whitehouse?

He was being honest before the world who held him up to ridicule

and made a mockery of him and the God he served openly.

Do you honestly think that this kind of thing gives God glory and

is a better way to deal with his failure than going to God privately

and making a covenant with his eyes. (Job 31:3)?
