God's grace stands regardless of whether it is received. Otherwise our refusal would be more powerful than God.
I don't have a problem with the idea that our refusal would limit God. I think you place too much primacy on the idea of God's omnipotence. God does limit himself by the way in which he has structured things, which is exactly why Jesus had to die for our sins rather than God just waving his hand and saving all of mankind without the death of Christ.
